ORACY restaurant platform: Kitchen display

Kitchen display system that replaces shouting and paper slips

Orders arrive on a screen at each station the moment they are placed. Cooks see what to make, how long it has been waiting, and what is special about it.

What it does

Kitchen display, in practice

Station routing

Grill items go to the grill screen, curries to the curry screen. One order can be split across stations and reassembled for service.

Timers that turn amber and red

Each ticket shows how long it has waited. Slow tickets stand out before the customer complains.

Special instructions where the cook sees them

Less spicy, no onion, allergy notes: printed on the ticket, not lost in a conversation.

Messages between kitchen and front desk

Item out of stock? The kitchen tells the till in one tap, and the item is hidden from ordering.

Preparation time reports

See which dishes and which hours slow the kitchen down, and fix the real bottleneck.

Questions

Before you ask

What screen does the kitchen need?

Any Android tablet or a cheap TV with an Android box. Screens are paired to the restaurant with a code; no logins for the cooks.

Does the kitchen still get a paper slip?

If you want one, yes. Many kitchens keep a printed slip for the pass and use the screen for the stations.
