How business owners can watch sales, stock and growth live from their phone

An owner dashboard is not a report. It is the replacement for being physically present. Here is what belongs on it and what does not.

Across every business we have worked with, from restaurants to factories to shops, the owner's underlying need is the same: to know what is happening without being there. Not a monthly report. Not a phone call to the manager. The actual state of the business, now, on the phone.

What belongs on an owner dashboard

  • Money: sales today, cash on hand, receivables due, and the same numbers for yesterday and last week.
  • Exceptions: large voids, discounts above a limit, late orders, missed shift closes, low stock. The things that need the owner.
  • People: who is on shift and who closed what.
  • Trend: a simple line that answers "are we growing?"

What does not belong on it

Everything else. A dashboard with forty numbers is a report with a nicer font. The owner should be able to glance at it in a car and know whether to make a call. Depth belongs one tap down, not on the first screen.

Alerts versus dashboards

The dashboard is for when the owner looks. Alerts are for when the owner is not looking. A void above five thousand rupees should arrive as a notification, with the cashier's name and the reason, at the moment it happens. The owner does not need to open anything to know.

A good owner dashboard makes the business feel smaller, because nothing in it is far away.

Every system ORACY builds ends in an owner dashboard, because that is where the value becomes visible to the person who paid for it. If you would like to see what yours could look like, show us how your business runs today.
